About

Hi, I'm Martina

Martina Zaccaron

I'm an analytics engineer and dbt Labs technical instructor with 10+ years of experience working in data, based in Senigallia, Italy. I help data teams get dbt right: set up properly from day one, or fixed when the project has become slow, messy or fragile.

Recent work

  • dbt Labs: technical instructor.
  • Kering Group (via Lenstra): delivered 7+ production data products end to end on dbt and BigQuery, onboarded 10+ teams onto a shared enterprise platform, and maintained and improved existing data products.
  • Cleo: kept an existing dbt project moving and cut run time and CI check time by 50%. Reviewed critical transaction pipelines, helped build a dbt health monitoring dashboard, onboarded product analysts to dbt, and set up new models for the payments squad.

My background is in mathematics, and I like turning messy problems into clear structures. I enjoy upskilling teams so good practices outlast my time on a project.

I'm originally from Italy, and I'm a foodie. That's where Food for Data comes from. The blog is where I share what I learn.
